SHOT Show 2020: New from Mark 7 Reloading

One of the exciting booth visits this year was the Lyman and Mark 7 booth! (see my Lyman SHOT Show 2020 / new products post HERE). Mark 7 Reloading has been doing some super-interesting work in the reloading space, and for 2020, things are getting INSANE. Here’s my interview with Lyman/Mark 7 engineer Spencer Karoll:

New: Mark 7 Titan DF

The Mark 7 Titan DF (Double Feed) is a one-of-a-kind new product from Mark 7 that supports progressive tandem loading. This means the Titan DF can double the Mark 7 Revolution’s 3500 rounds per our for a whopping 7000 rounds per hour output! Targeted at loading applications that require 5 stations or less, this new Mark 7 press will be a great way for ammunition manufacturers and reloaders to get more out of their investment.

From the Mark 7 Titan DF product page:

    • TWO INDEPENDENT 5 STATION LOADERS IN ONE MACHINE.
    • EFFECTIVE SPEED UP TO 7000 ROUNDS PER HOUR.
    • AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE CONFIGS (BRASS PROCESSING, LOADING, PRIMING).
    • SUPPORTS ONCE-PASS RIFLE/PISTOL PROCESSING AND LOADING IF USED IN SINGLE FEED CONFIGURATION.

All new for 2020, the Mark 7 Titan Double Feed reflects a results-oriented way of thinking when it comes to commercial loading. Building on the success of the Mark 7 Revolution and listening to our customers, there was a demand for a press that could exceed 3500 effective rounds per hour. Splitting our 10-station design into two separate 5 station presses, we are able to achieve that. Running both sides at once, you effectively double the rate of production. This allows the Mark 7 Titan to run at an effective speed of up to 7000 rounds per hour, depending on caliber. All of this at a price much lower than other machines in the market at this speed.

The Mark 7 Titan DF is insane, but wait, there’s more!

New: Mark 7 Titan XL

The Mark 7 Evolution and Revolution presses can load cartridges as long as 308 Winchester, which is awesome. But what if you want to load 338 Lapua (or similar) on a Mark 7? Now you can! Enter the Mark 7 Titan XL.

From the Mark 7 Titan XL Product Page:

    • LOADS CALIBERS UP TO 338 LAPUA.
    • CAN BE SETUP IN DOUBLE FEED CONFIGURATION.
    • AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE CONFIGS (BRASS PROCESSING, LOADING, PRIMING).
    • SUPPORTS ONCE-PASS RIFLE/PISTOL PROCESSING AND LOADING IF USED IN SINGLE FEED CONFIGURATION.

Also new for 2020, the Mark 7 Titan XL provides for the needs of reloaders working with larger calibers. This machine features a 5” stroke, which can handle calibers up to 338 Lapua. In addition to handling the large calibers, like the Titan Double Feed, this machine can be configured to exceed 3500 effective rounds per hour by splitting the 10-station design into two separate 5 station presses. Running both sides at once allows the Mark 7 Titan XL to run at an effective speed of 5000 rounds per hour due to the longer stroke required for the large calibers.

What’s even more insane? The Titan XL can be setup with multiple configurations, including Double Feed!

New: Mark 7 Oscillating Primer Collator

Another innovative product coming from Mark 7 is their oscillating primer collator. A system that’s so simple, and yet it can keep up with a 3500-round-per-hour press like the Mark 7 Revolution! It even features a sensor that will stop the system if a primer somehow makes it through the “gates” upside-down. This product has the aim to make on-press automatic primer feeding both reliable and affordable. Can’t wait to learn more about it!

Mark 7 Evolution, Mark 7 Revolution

In case you missed it, here’s my discussion with Spencer from late 2019 where we walked through the Mark 7 Evolution (manual), and Mark 7 Revolution (autodrive) presses:

I’ll bring you all more Mark 7 content and updates as things progress in 2020, it’s going to be (you guessed it) INSANE!
