6.5 Creedmoor has been perhaps the most talked about cartridge over the last few years. And it’s not hard to see why! This cartridge is very good for long range shooting, has taken PRS competitions by storm, and is a very good all-round medium-to-large game hunting cartridge. So when Starline approached me about putting together a 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge guide, I thought “that would be really useful, and really fun to work on”. For this guide, I wanted to go beyond what you’ll find in typical cartridge guides. I thought it would be great to include things like rifle considerations (barrel length, twist rate, action types) and hunting (suitable game, lethal ballistics, etc) as well as the standard reference topics like cartridge dimensions and basic ballistics. It was a huge undertaking, but well worth it. This cartridge guide is now available for free download (PDF file), check it out!

Outstanding work. An excellent guide. I would like to see something similar for .224 Valkyrie, 6.5 Grendel and 22 Nosler.
