One of the great things about media events is not just testing new products but being able to connect with like-minded people. I met several fellow “gun-tubers” at the Bergara Long Range Academy and will introduce you to each of them below!

About the Bergara Academy
The Queen Mountain Ranch in Evanston, Wyoming is a new location for the Bergara Academy this year, which has been hosted entirely in Montana for a few years.
These classes start with the basics so you do not have to be an experienced shooter or hunter to attend. One of the primary advantages of the Bergara Academy is that all the rifles and ammunition are provided.
These guns are zeroed and verified to ensure a good experience and to eliminate gun/ammunition problems during the school. Students use matching Bergara HMR Carbon rifle setups in 6.5 Creedmoor.
Bergara invited a number of other guntubers to the Wyoming ranch to experience a modified version of the course. It was great to meet everyone and to connect with X-RING, The Big Game Hunting Blog, Precision Rifle Network, and Mountains, Mullets, Merica!.
About X-RING
Ray Helms, X-RING on YouTube focuses on shooting instruction and education. He has competed in a variety of disciplines over the last several decades, though long range and team ruck matches are his favorites. He currently competes for the MPA pistol team and Team Cobalt.
About five years ago, someone convinced him to start recording videos.
He focused on things he had learned in his career as a law enforcement sniper and soon realized people were very interested in learning about long range shooting.
About The Big Game Hunting Blog
John McAdams created The Big Game Hunting Blog to assist hunters in preparing for and making their dream hunts a reality.
He recognizes that time and money are barriers many face, so all of his resources, including a blog and podcast, are free to support hunters in their quest. He also has a YouTube channel. Much of his content centers around cartridge comparisons for big game hunting.
I enjoyed talking with him about my South African hunt and watching John take his personal furthest shot record from 600 yards to 2700 yards at the Bergara Academy.
About the Precision Rifle Network
Joel Wise of the Precision Rifle Network produces content for competitors, hunters, and operators ranging from news to product reviews to competition coverage.
It was never meant to be a TV network, but rather a network of shooters who wanted to collaborate on content. It didn’t turn out exactly that way, but Joel does have one contributor, Justin Harrell.
Joel recently relocated from Missouri to South Dakota, greatly expanding the distances he could shoot and the types of videos he can film. Also find them on Instagram and Rumble!
About Mountains, Mullets, Merica!
Mountains, Mullets, Merica! is a civilian shooter with years of long range and PRS experience who shares his passions on his YouTube Channel and his Instagram, @MountainsMulletsMerica.
Zach has a down-to-earth approach to shooting and wants everyone to be able to enjoy it. No matter your experience, there is something for you on his channel.
He personally loves accurized AR’s and ELR shooting and frequently brings newer or lesser experienced shooters to the range with him to learn.
