The AR-15 is potentially the most versatile gun platform in existence, allowing nearly endless customizations. This time we took an ODIN Works AR-15 in 22 ARC and added Ultradyne C4 offset sights, a UD lightweight buttstock and a Vudo LPVO from EOTECH.

About the Ultradyne C4 Offset Sight Kit
Ultradyne’s C4 Offset Sight Kit allows you to easily add a back-up sighting system with interchangeable apertures designed for accuracy.
From Ultradyne:
Made in the USA
The C4 Offset Sight Combo uses Dynalign Technology to deliver a superior sighting system. The innovative four concentric circles create a sight picture that optimizes accuracy.
C4 Offset Front Sight Features:
-
- Outer and inner concentric circles for easy target acquisition
- Windage adjustable for zeroing on the front sight, which guarantees that the rear sight windage is perfectly centered when at zero for maximum in windage adjustment in either direction along with easy return to zero
- Tool-less elevation adjustment that is always perfectly concentric with outer circle
- Aperture sight gives a shooter the ability to focus 100% on the target
- Strategic use of materials to maximize strength and weight
C4 Offset Rear Sight Features:
-
- A purely concentric sight picture with an inner aperture and outer circle for easy alignment
- Rapid windage and elevation adjustments
- Elevation adjustment to 600 yards
- Elevation cam for most ballistic bullet paths available
- One-handed deployment and stowage
- Interchangeable Apertures, .70″, .50″ and a ghost ring
- Spare aperture conveniently stores into windage knob
- Strategic use of materials to maximize strength and weight
DYNALIGN TECHNOLOGY: Concentric Sight Picture
Most BUIS systems utilize a sight picture that is non-intuitive.
The brain’s visual systems are asked to align a circular rear aperture with a rectangular front post shape while simultaneously ignoring the “ears” that protect the front sight post.
Dynalign’s circle-within-circle sight picture allows for faster sight picture acquisition.
Additionally, the use of a front aperture further reduces parallax effect which makes accuracy less dependent on precise sight alignment.
Dynalign is a faster and more accurate sight picture that can improve shooting performance.
About the Ultradyne Lightweight Buttstock
I’ve previously shown the Ultradyne Lightweight Buttstock on .308 Shorty.
It comes in several different versions, one optimized for AR’s.
From Ultradyne:
Introducing the UD Lightweight Butt Stock, crafted from solid 6061 T6 aluminum for optimal balance between weight and strength. Engineered for lightweight rifle builds without compromising durability. Adjustable in Length of Pull (LOP) from 13″ to 14″ with removable spacers, and three options for cheek heights, it offers tailored comfort to nearly any shooter. Additional spacers and separate cheek pieces are readily available for purchase if needed, ensuring a personalized fit. Regardless of spacer configuration out to four spacers, installation remains seamless, utilizing the same screws for all orientations.
Designed with user comfort in mind, it features an ergonomic cheek piece and a QD sling interface, catering to practical needs while remaining comfortable. Weighing in at just .875 pounds, the Lightweight Butt Stock enhances your rifle’s aesthetics with it’s sleek, one-piece design while minimizing additional weight. A bag rider is also available to purchase for enhanced stability.
With ten cerakote colors to choose from, matching this butt stock to the UD Chassis is effortless, allowing for a cohesive, personalized look. Achieve weights as low as 1.9 pounds when paired with the UD Chassis. The butt stock is equipped with the Ultradyne recoil pad for enhanced user experience, and installation remains effortless even when adjusting spacer configurations. Being compatible with any Mil-Spec buffer tube interface allows installation to be hassle-free with the provided castle nut.

Installation
I set my eye relief so it was comfortable on maximum magnification and mounted the EOTECH Vudu.
I mounted the C4 sights 21 inches apart and torqued them to 12 inch-lbs. per instructions.
Using the AR-15 platform mag attachment block with my Arrow Products Rock Vise made it easy to manipulate the lower to remove the old stock and install the new one.
I removed the stock, cracked the torque on the buffer tube, and held the plate in place to prevent the plunger spring from flying out.
I twisted on the new stock and secured it, torquing the castle nut with a Wheeler Delta Series armorer’s wrench.
Adding the buffer spring and reattaching the upper finished out the project.
Shooting
I zeroed the LPVO at 25 yards and the sights to hit 1.4 inches below that point at the same distance.
The instructions said to zero at 100 yards, but I decided to zero the scope at 50 yards given the close-proximity shooting I planned to do.
This was my first time running a dual sighting system and having the versatility was incredible.
I made consistent hits out to 80 yards with both systems, but I will definitely have to practice better transitions.
I had no issues hitting a rock chuck with the optic or sights at 200 yards.
Conclusion
The 22 ARC is an incredibly flat-shooting cartridge with very little recoil.
The ODIN Works AR functioned flawlessly and I greatly enjoyed having a choice between an optic and iron sights. The UD lightweight buttstock proved very ergonomic as well.
