SHOT Show 2020: MEC Outdoors

At the 2020 SHOT Show, I caught up with Shawn Wozniak, MEC Outdoors product manager to get an overview of MEC as company, and the MEC product categories. The following is a summary of that conversation!

About MEC

From the MEC website:

Mayville Engineering Company has been manufacturing shotshell reloaders under the MEC brand since 1955. Over the years we have manufactured more than two million reloaders, including our single stage machines and the fully progressive units. In 2013, MEC acquired APEX Clay Traps and introduced MEC Clay Target Machines. The Metallic Reloaders was launched in 2016 with the addition of the MEC Marksman(TM).

At MEC we value our customers and our goal is to provide quality products and back them with the best customer service available.

MEC is 100% employee-owned and everyone is vested in the success of the company. We all take P.R.I.D.E. in making great products at affordable prices!

MEC Shotshell Reloaders and Throwers

MEC is an industry-leading manufacturer of shotshell related reloading equipment, and also makes some great throwers! The following are some stories I’ve published here on Utlimate Reloader covering these products.

MEC Metallic Equipment

In 2016, MEC took their experience and approach to US manufacturing of shotshell products and introduced a line of metallic reloading gear centered around the “Marksman” single-stage reloading press. Here are some of the MEC metallic reloading stories I’ve published!

More to Come

In 2020, I’ll have more MEC content on both the shotshell side, and on the metallic side: don’t miss out on Ultimate Reloader updates, make sure you’re subscribed!

Thanks,
Gavin

  1. Awesome machines and support. I started reloading trap shells for my daughter’s SCTP on a vintage Super 600, now known as the 650. They had any part I need and quickly shipped it. I have made the leap to a 9000 and just retired so I can’t wait to get it up and running. I hope to buy some land and that means their thrower is in the future. Hoping they are working on a progressive metallic reloading press, if they are, it will be awesome I’ll bet.
