About the InLine Fabrication Case Ejector System

The case ejection system comes with a base plate, two bins, chute, and case ejector spring with bracket.

It is available for a variety of presses.

From InLine Fabrication

This system ejects your cases for you, allowing you to leave your right hand on the press lever and your left hand dedicated to feeding brass. It speeds up your single stage reloading significantly. Kit includes: Base plate, Ejection spring assembly, discharge ramp and 2 bins.

The case ejector system is designed for versatility and can be installed directly to your bench-top or installed on any InLine Fabrication Ultramount press riser. The adjustable ejector plate attaches via your rightside press mounting bolt and stays compact to the press.

This ejector kit fits the RCBS IV Supreme and the older RCBS RC1,2 as well as the RCBS JR, 2 & 3.  Although, on the RC 1,2 & JR,2 & 3 the factory primer dish needs to be trimmed where the ramp passes by.  On the Rockchucker IV/Supreme, that issue can be remedied with this lil guy (Here) And for the older vintage RC 1,2 (Here)

The base plate also includes die storage for (3) 7\8ths bodied dies  OR  1 3/16 holes IF you are using the Hornady Lock n Load quick change bushings.(Only useable if your press is mounted on an Ultramount to provide the clearance underneath.) (Select from the dropdown list above.)

This ejection system works perfectly with our Quick change system. (Here)

Note: Shown with InLine Fab bin barriers (not included) but available (Here)

Also available: Base plate with larger die storage holes if you are using the Hornady quick change bushings. (Select from the drop down list.)

I had the Rock Chucker Supreme mounted to a quick-change plate and had to remove it from the UltraMount to install the plate included with the case ejection system.

This plate is sandwiched between the press and the top plate.

It is possible to use the case ejection plate on its own without having to unmount the press and it is also compatible with standard UltraMounts.

Be sure to place the ejection spring bracket underneath the washer for installation of the case eject spring.

Properly Installed Case Eject Spring Bracket

The final step was chute installation.

Though it won’t accommodate 18 dies like the benchtop die storage rack, the case ejection system plate has three spots for ⅞” dies with lock rings.

About the InLine Fabrication Benchtop Series Die Storage Rack

We’ve been using InLine Fabrication quick-change UltraMounts on our presses for years and recently covered one of our walls with the InLine Panel to maximize storage.

The powder-coated Benchtop Series die storage rack provides another way to organize.

From InLine Fabrication

Benchtop series Benchtop die rack with 18 holes to gather up and keep all your dies in one place. Heavy gauge steel with sleek black powdercoating to match other InLine Fabrication accessories. It is expandable as you can bolt a few together if you wish. You can bolt various racks, toolhead docks and trays to it as well!

Racks measure 9 3/4″ wide x 5 1/4″ deep by 2 3/4″ Tall

We have a single die storage unit, but you can expand it with more racks and other accessories like shellholder plates.

While this unit can be bolted to the bench, I find it plenty sturdy enough to stand alone but still allow for moving as needed.

InLine Fabrication offers two versions of the die storage rack to accommodate standard  ⅞” dies and those with Hornady Lock-n-Load bushings (1 3/16”).

Using the Case Ejection System

Once installed, using the case ejection system is very straightforward. I decided to demonstrate with some virgin .223 brass I had previously primed on the Forster Co-Ax with Derraco Engineering PCPS-Lite.

I measured out my desired charge of CFE 223 on the Chargemaster Link and seated Berry’s 62 grain FMJ bullets over top.

This was a duplication of the M855 practice load Guy Miner worked up earlier this year, which I also have previously loaded in bulk on the Mark 7 Apex 10.

The point remains, we’ve had great success with this load.

To use the case ejection system, do not insert a case at the bottom of the stroke. The case ejection spring will get in the way and make the process more difficult.

To prevent this, raise the ram until the spring clears the shellholder— about halfway up— before inserting a case. As the ram bottoms out after the stroke, the completed round slides down the chute into the closest bin.

Conclusion

You can use the case ejection system multiple operations, but I decided to use it for seating to turn out finished rounds. I’m curious to see how much faster it would make sizing. It definitely helped streamline the process. I was also impressed by the robustness of the die storage rack and its expandability.
