NEW: Athlon Cronus 10×50 UHD Laser Rangefinder Binoculars

I use my binoculars ALL the time. Whether it be for spotting game, spotting for a fellow shooter, or finding targets on a hillside, they are an everyday tool for me. I also use a rangefinder very frequently. So what if I could consolidate these two tools into one? That’s the subject of this article: the NEW-for-2020 Athlon Optics Cronus UHD Laser Rangefinder Binoculars.

From the Athlon Product Page

Just like its namesake, Cronus the King of all Mythological Greek Titans, this is the King of the Athlon binoculars! Athlon’s Cronus family brings products inspired by a combined commitment to brightness, clarity, resolution, and exceptional ranging capabilities. Designed for serious glassing, with exceptional edge to edge clarity, sharp detail enhancement, ultra-clear brightness, and true color representation. With ranging capabilities of 5 yards to 800 yards on a deer and out to 2000 yards on a reflective target, these range finding Binoculars are perfect for any hunting or long range situations. We designed these binoculars with our revolutionary E2ES lens system that gives you a flat field of view. We included ED Glass resulting in a clearer and sharper image, as well as an illuminated ranging display.

Quick Look: Ranging with the Athlon Binoculars

In the video I showed a few examples of ranging with the binoculars:

100 Yard Shooting Range

1000 Yard Ridgeline

2000 Yard Hillside

Athlon advertises these binoculars as capable to 2000 yards for reflective surfaces, and I got that and more as seen above. What’s more, ranging was very consistent and quick at this distance: well over a mile (1.2 miles to be exact)!

I’m very happy with these binoculars, and at this point I can’t imagine being without them.

  1. Very nice, but, what you don’t seem to realize is that most of us- 99.9%
of us can’t afford that much money for a rifle, let alone a pair of glasses.
Don’t misunderstand, they’re nice. And the combination is nice. But be
realistic- ain’t gonna happen. You tend to go to the extremes- most of us
can’t. Please, put a little more thought into what you advocate.
