About the Bergara Academy

The Queen Mountain Ranch in Evanston, Wyoming is a new location for the Bergara Academy this year, which has been hosted entirely in Montana for a few years.

These classes start with the basics so you do not have to be an experienced shooter or hunter to attend.

One of the primary advantages of the Bergara Academy is that all the rifles and ammunition are provided.

These guns are zeroed and verified to ensure a good experience and to eliminate gun/ammunition problems during the school. Students use matching Bergara HMR Carbon rifle setups in 6.5 Creedmoor.

About the Media Event

Bergara invited a number of other guntubers to the Wyoming ranch to experience a modified version of the course.

It was great to meet everyone and to connect. (I’ll introduce you to Mountains, Mullets, Merica!, The Big Game Hunting Blog, Precision Rifle Network, and X-RING in a later video.)

We shot out to 2,700 yards with a variety of rifles including the Bergara Crest Carbon, HMR Carbon, MGMicro Lite, MGLite, Stoke, and Sierra.

All rifles had consistent hits at 1,000 yards from a variety of positions. The Sierra is one of my personal favorites as it offers a host of great features at an affordable price, including an M5 cut.

Left-Handed Bergara Sierra

I was also very impressed with the MGMicro Lite — a compact truck gun that still shot consistently at 1,000 yards!

After a few others gathered data for me, I had a first round impact at one mile with the 7mm PRC MGLite.

Conclusion

I had a wonderful time at the Bergara Academy and met some wonderful new friends.

The Wyoming facility was impressive and the guns performed extraordinarily. If you are interested in learning more about distance shooting or want to try it for the first time, consider attending the Bergara Academy.
