WOOX BRAVADO Black Laminate: 357 Facelift

About the BRAVADO

The BRAVADO rear stock features an adjustable cheek riser, generous recoil pad, checkered grip, QD sling mounts, and M-LOK slots.

The matching BRAVADO forend has M-LOK slots along all three of its exposed sides and is longer than the Henry factory forend. This allows me to grip the gun further out and gain greater leverage.

Installation and Shooting

The BRAVADO kit is very easy to install, with most of the work on the forend. I began by removing the rod from the magazine tube and screws from the factory handguard front cap.

Removing the guide between the barrel and magazine tube allowed me to slide off the factory forend and replace it with a polymer forend support insert.

As I slid the BRAVADO forend into place, I slipped the adapter into the front of the receiver and pivoted it up.

Tightening the three furthest M-LOK screws on the forend secured the forend to the polymer insert.

Swapping out the buttstock only required removing a single screw with my Wheeler screwdriver.

I was happy with the tight, precision fit of the BRAVADO stock. I had to use some force to get it into place and gave the securing screw a few light taps.

Shooting lever action rifles is always fun, but this BRAVADO upgrade only elevated the experience.

The enhanced buttpad, better ergonomics, and adjustable cheek riser made it easier to shoot. I especially appreciated the wider and longer forend.

Conclusion

M-LOK opens up a world of possibilities of customization and accessory mounting. I decided to keep the iron sights on this rifle, but added a Picatinny rail to accommodate an optic if I choose.

I’ve been thrilled to continue to upgrade each of my lever actions from their stock configuration with variants of the WOOX BRAVADO. Whichever finish you choose, know you are not only improving the look of your firearm, but also the shooting experience.
