AR-MPR Rifle during test fitting – Image copyright 2011 Ultimate Reloader
Hey everyone, just wanted to take a moment to give you all a heads-up regarding what’s coming up here on Ultimate Reloader. 2011 is going to be an exciting year for sure! Among other things, we’ll look at the following:
AR-MPR: Lower Build
We’ve already covered planning, tools, and the assembly of the upper. To finish the build, we’ll assemble the lower, and accessorize. It’s going to be fun to see this rifle come together!
AR-MPR: Precision Loading
We’re going to use a Redding Big Boss II to work up loads for this rifle to meet our .5 – .75 MOA goal. We’ll take a look at other cool products like the Hornady Case Prep Center, scales, powder measures and more! Don’t forget trips to the range to put the rifle through its paces.
AR-MPR: Ammo Mass Production
Once we work up our optimized load, we’ll look at loading .223/5.56 Ammo for our AR-15 on progressive machines, and will use the RCBS Rifle Bullet feeder to speed things up. This is going to be cool…
Hornady Lock-N-Load Bullet Feeder Videos
I’ve posted a few articles on the new Hornady Lock-N-Load bullet feeder, and next we’ll look at this machine in action!
Do you have specific ideas and requests? Please leave a comment!
Thanks,
Gavin
Gavin,
When you do the videos on the bullet feeder, can you do a very detailed look at how to setup the feeder dies for optimum performance. I’ve been reading about some issues on the feeder not “seating” the bullets deep enough to prevent tip-over when progressing to the seating stage.
Thanks,
Geoff
You bet! It’s a combination of getting the flare right, cycling the press lever at the right speed, and setting up the bullet feed die correctly. Videos coming soon!
Very cool website. Great job.
Are those Diopter sights on correctly? They look backwards.
